Legendary rock guitarist Jake E. Lee was shot dead in Las Vegas | Cats | Entertainment

A rock star was injured in an early morning shooting in Las Vegas.

Guitar star Jake E. Lee was shot multiple times in a shooting on a Las Vegas street, Lee's management confirmed Tuesday morning.

According to a source familiar with the incident, Lee was walking his dog in his driveway around 2:40 a.m. when he was shot in the forearm. in the back, with the bullet breaking a rib; and in the foot.

None of the shots hit a vital organ. A neighbor heard the shots, hid his children, grabbed a gun and called 911.

Lee's dog was uninjured.

From Las Vegas Metro's report on the incident:

“Officers responded to a shooting incident in the 11000 block of Alora Street. Officers arrived and found a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The man was transported to the hospital. So far there have been no arrests. This is an ongoing investigation.”

The address listed is west of I-15, north of the Starr Avenue exit and west of Dean Martin Drive.

Lee, a Las Vegas resident, “is fully conscious and doing well in the intensive care unit of a Las Vegas hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery,” the musician’s representatives said in a statement. Lee is reportedly in an intensive care unit in Las Vegas.

The incident was “completely random,” the statement said.

Lee performed with Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands as well as his latest project Red Dragon Cartel. The latter band served as his comeback project after rarely appearing in public over the past two decades.

According to a February story in the rock bar Loudersound, Lee had been getting over the deaths of his parents, his first wife and singer Ray Gillen.

At the age of 67, Lee performed again with Red Dragon Cartel. The band was co-founded by Vegas musician and studio operator Ronnie Mancuso and English-born singer Darren James Smith.

At the height of his fame in the mid-'80s, Lee played with Osbourne in front of 60,000 fans at the Monsters of Rock festival and many stadium-sized shows.
