Lobo basketball exhibition season is here

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – The college basketball season is almost upon us and the Lobo men's and women's basketball teams are already on the court in preparation for the season. Both teams have already faced an opponent in some capacity.

Overall, both sides believe exhibition games are positive and more could be added in the coming years.

“As a coach, it’s hard to see everything,” Richard Pitino said. “So it’s a lot easier to teach when you see what this team has done and how we’re going to respond.”

“The good news is we're better than I thought, so that was good,” Mike Bradbury said. “Offensively we were, I don’t want to say we were good, but offensively we weren’t bad. Defensively we had a lot to do. The good news is that much of this is correctable.”

The men's team has an exhibition match scheduled against UTEP at the Pit on Monday evening, while the women's team has an exhibition match against Western Colorado on Saturday.
