MAGA allies say they can finally admit Project 2025 is “the agenda” for Trump’s second term

MAGA allies have boasted that they can finally admit the project is on the “agenda” in 2025 when Donald Trump returns to the White House next year.

Steve Bannon, Trump's former chief White House strategist, who was released from prison just days before the election, was thrilled War room podcast on Wednesday to joke that “Project 2025 is the agenda” for the former president’s second term.

Bannon cited a social media post by conservative activist Matt Walsh that baited Kamala Harris' supporters about the right-wing plan.

“Now that the election is over, I think we can finally say that the 2025 project is actually on the agenda. Lol,” Walsh posted

“Matt Walsh, in my opinion, is a very smart and funny guy,” Bannon said on his podcast. “Now that the election is over, I think we can finally say that Project 2025 is actually on the agenda.”

“Fabulous,” Bannon laughed. “Put this anywhere.”

Other MAGA figures joined in the taunting. Texas GOP Chairman Bo French of Tarrant County said in a post on

The Republican, who has come under fire for homophobic slurs toward his political opponents, received backlash for the post.

“Proud of lies, not even a noble lie, but just an ordinary, self-serving lie. A true role model for your children,” someone said.

French claimed it was a joke. “You prove once again that leftists have no sense of humor. How sad you are. Cry more,” he said.

He added: “The left (and some on the right) just need to remember what comedy is.”

Conservative commentator and YouTuber Benny Johnson also wrote: “I am honored to tell you all that Project 2025 was real all along.”

His post sparked mixed reactions. Another Trump supporter said: “Stop it. I warn you all to stop upsetting her. Just stop.”

Project 2025, a 900-page plan created by former Trump aides and supported by a powerful right-wing think tank, has long been seen as a roadmap for Trump's second administration.

The bill, pushed by the Heritage Foundation and more than a dozen former Trump administration officials, is essentially a wish list for the next Republican administration, with plans to expand executive powers, replace officials with ideologically aligned officials, and abolish it of abortion rights and to introduce an anti-abortion law. among other things, the immigration agenda.

Harris repeatedly warned about Project 2025's ambitions during her presidential campaign.

“Can you believe they put that in writing? Read it. It’s 900 pages,” she said at a rally this summer.

Despite his obvious ties to the plan – the authors came from Trump's White House and Republicans had close ties to the group that launched it – Trump repeatedly tried to distance himself from the plan during the campaign by claiming he knew about it “none” of it or “who is behind it.”

At a rally in Michigan, Trump told the crowd: “Some on the right, hard right, came up with this project in '25. I don't even know, some of them I know who they are, but they are very, very conservative. They are, so to speak, the opposite of the radical left.”
