MAGA concocts its most outrageous Tim Walz conspiracy yet

A MAGA influencer is trying to spread a nasty rumor about Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz. The problem is that it reads more like fanfiction than fact.

“DocNetyoutube”, who Washington Post Media reporter Will Sommer describes As “an emerging new player in the 'making things up' corner of online Trumpworld,” he claims he has evidence that Walz sexually abused a student during his time as a high school teacher.

In a series of “drops,” a term popular in the QAnon community, DocNetyoutube on Sunday posted several alleged screenshots of communications between himself and Walz's anonymous victim. But the posts have several warning signs about their authenticity.

The email data is formatted in the format inconsistent way, with misplaced commas and strange text alignment. Another clue is what appears to be a Input cursor That still appears on the screenshots, suggesting the internet personality most likely wrote them himself.

However, the publication has already been undermined by the appearance of a cursor in a witness's most important emails – suggesting that DocNetYoutube wrote it himself.

Much of DocNetyoutube's conspiracy hinges on him spreading the news of a student who attended a concert with Walz and his wife while the couple were teachers at the same school in Nebraska. The story is not new. The New York Times published this story in August, noting that after the anonymous gay student confided in them, the couple took her to an Indigo Girls concert, a rare queer-friendly event in the area.

But on Sunday, the MAGA conspiracy report tried to claim that the media was “trying to get a jump on this story” instead of acknowledging that he was publishing old news. The internet personality claims to have a “victim statement” to prove the legitimacy of the posts. The anonymous statement said Walz had a Chinese symbol tattooed on his thigh. “I remember him explaining to me what it meant, but I don’t remember at this point,” the alleged student wrote in the statement. In the comments on X, MAGA users quickly spun out about whether Walz could have had the tattoo removed with a laser or performed a skin transplant. Just normal stuff.

Calling Walz a groomer for no reason is nothing new. Laura Loomer previously spread the word similarly vague claims against rollers. “There's a reason he shakes his wife's hand and offers himself to the gay community, and it's not because he's awkward. … Everything will come to light,” she wrote on X in Augustciting no evidence.

Multiple X-verified QAnon accounts have also spread the claims far and wide, amplified by Elon Musk's algorithm. earlier this monthThe pro-QAnon podcast RedPill78 interviewed an anonymous man who claimed he was a former foreign exchange student at Walz High School who was touched inappropriately by the Democrat.

Previously, finally online republican I tried to push that too narrative that Walz sponsored children as a faculty advisor to the newly formed Gay-Straight Alliance at his school in Minnesota. In fact, queer students appreciated his support. “It was important to have a person who was so popular on campus, a football coach who had served in the military,” said a former student at the school The New York Times. “Having Tim Walz as an advisor to the Gay-Straight Alliance made me feel safe coming to school.”

Since this point of discussion was not followed through, they apparently had to escalate. Of course, credible allegations of assault should always be taken seriously. But if Republicans don't want to vote for someone who touched someone inappropriately, maybe they shouldn't vote for the convicted rapist.
