HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Football is back at The Joan this week as Marshall takes on the ULM Warhawks in the “We Are…Celebrating our Seniors” Senior Day game on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN+.

Game day timeline

Saturday November 2nd

8 o'clock – WAKE UP! It's game day

9:30 a.m. – Parking lots open

10:30 a.m. – HerdZone Team Store opens

1:00 p.m. – Thunder Run – Be sure to arrive early to secure your spot! We will give out a Golden Ticket for a chance to be the Kickoff Kid. The fan festival begins – in front of the Marshall Rec Center. This is your chance to grab a bite to eat, play on inflatables and more. The Fan Fest is open to everyone and participation is free.

1:30 p.m. – Gates open

1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Two Buck Lightning – $2 hot dogs, $2 popcorn and $2 fountain drinks in a game-specific cup

2:45 p.m. – Herd the answer! Be in your seats and take part in pre-game quizzes.

3:00 p.m. – Senior Day Ceremony begins

3:15 p.m. – Marching Thunder takes the field

3:21 p.m. – National Anthem

3:28 p.m. – Marshall Football takes the field

3:32 p.m. – HIT ULM!

New Fan Experience Upgrades!

Marshall's commitment to a safe and fun event comes with several enhancements to the on-site experience including: expanded concourse, local food trucks, take-and-go concessions, fan experience and engagement areas, water refill stations.

Two Buck Lightning: During the first hour of admission at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, fans can enjoy $2 hot dogs, $2 popcorn, $2 fountain drinks and a custom souvenir cup unique to each game day.

Food truck: Fans will notice the food trucks stationed around Joan C. Edwards Stadium, including Food Truck Alley, located near Gate F on the southeast corner of the stadium.

Grab takeout concessions: Two (2) Simply To-Go concession stands offer fans healthier concession options to choose from. There will also be a carry-out concession from Green and White Bytes and Brews in the West Concourse to provide fans with a quick, cashless option for concession needs.

Water refill stations: Fans are now allowed to bring a sealed or empty clear plastic bottle to refill at available refill stations around the stadium.

Family zone: Located at Gate C, this area features games for kids (Giant Jenga, Connect Four, etc.), cardboard cutouts to take photos with, Joey Stepp's Pregame Magic Show (starts 90 minutes and 45 minutes before kickoff), and other exciting activities.

Policy updates: Gate B South is now open for general access to the stadium. Gate B North will continue to be VIP access for Sky Suite holders only. We have also updated our inclement weather policy. For more information click HERE! Diaper bags are now allowed inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium, but must be searched.

Marshall Senior Day game

On November 2nd we will be honoring all of our Marshall Football Seniors as well as the Support Staff, Marching Thunder, Cheer and Dance teams. Halftime will feature presentations for the Marching Thunder, Cheer and Dance teams, followed by the band's show.

Thunder Run: Thunderwalk begins in the West Lot at the property entrance gate on 20th Street, closest to Third Avenue, and continues through the parking lot toward Gate A and out to Third Avenue. Marshall Cheerleaders give away envelopes ONE contains a Golden Ticket. The lucky fan who receives the Golden Ticket will be the Kickoff Kid. Be sure to get there early! Thunderwalk starts at 1 p.m.!

Fanfest: Fan Fest takes place outside of the Rec Center and opens at 1:00 p.m. Be sure to come and enjoy bounce houses, magic, balloon animals and more.

Clear bag policy: To increase public safety and make access to the stadium more efficient, Marshall University Athletics has adopted a clear bag policy. Fans are permitted to bring one (1) clear bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or one 1-gallon plastic storage bag. Fans are only allowed to bring one clear bag per person or one small clutch bag (no larger than 4.5 inches). x 6.5″) for privacy. For more information click HERE. Diaper bags are now permitted at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

No re-entry: As a reminder, fans will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the stadium without undergoing another security check and a separate, unscanned game ticket. This is part of the Safe To Stay With The Herd initiative implemented in July 2024.

Park: Individual parking spaces are available: (1) Third Avenue Parking Garage – $20 (cash only); (2) State Electric Parking Lot – $20 (All proceeds benefit the Marshall Cheerleading Program); (3) Old ACF Lot – $20 (All proceeds benefit the United Way of the River Cities).

ID verification: Fans may go to the Fan Assistance tent outside Gate A and a tent inside Gate D to have their ID checked and receive a wristband for in-stadium alcohol sales. Please do this before entering the stadium to avoid waiting times.

Thunderclap: Don't forget that Thunderbolt is back! After every stove touchdown, stand up and participate in the Thunderclap!
