Three-star defensive back and University of Louisville freshman Micah Rice and his younger brother Benjamin transferred from Moeller High School.

Micah is enrolled at North Oldham High School in Goshen, Kentucky. The Mustangs are currently 4-1 with wins over Fern Creek, DeSales, Tates Creek and Shelby County. They are ranked No. 8 in Class 4A in the latest Kentucky high school football media poll.

Benjamin, a sophomore running back, now attends Trinity High School in Louisville. The Shamrocks are the defending Class 6A state champions and the unanimous No. 1 team after defeating No. 2 Louisville Male last Friday.

In a recent interview with WHAS-TV, Micah said his father, Jason, recently accepted a job in Louisville. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has not yet made a decision on his eligibility for the season, but North Oldham coaches are confident we will be eligible to play by next Friday's game against Franklin County.

As a junior, Micah made 55 tackles, intercepted three passes and forced a fumble. In two games this season, he had four tackles and a sack. The Enquirer listed him as a top recruit in the class of 2025 and one of the top 10 defensive backs in Greater Cincinnati.

He committed to Louisville in June and played in the Cardinals' Week 1 win over Austin Peay. Rice also announced that he will graduate in December and join the Louisville football team next spring.

Benji had 14 carries for 24 yards and a touchdown in his first two varsity games.
