Michigan ended a two-game losing streak with a hard-fought win over Michigan State on Saturday. Now the Wolverines face their toughest test of the season as they prepare to host the top-ranked Oregon Ducks.

The Ducks, one of four West Coast teams joining the Big Ten this year, were as advertised, remaining undefeated with impressive wins over Ohio State and Illinois. While other conference newcomers have struggled to find their footing, Oregon is thriving and presents Michigan with one of its biggest challenges in 2024.

Today's question: Can UM keep up with Oregon's high-powered offense?

The Wolverines enter today's matchup continuing their dual quarterback strategy by using both Davis Warren and Alex Orji. That approach proved effective last week: Warren completed 13 of 19 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown, while Orji contributed on the ground with six carries for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Despite last weekend's nice showing, the passing game itself remains a challenge, ranking 129th out of 133 teams with an average of 130.5 yards per game. Tight end Colston Loveland will play a crucial role here and will aim to match last week's performance of six catches for 67 yards and two touchdowns. Offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell will need creativity and adaptability to counter Oregon's top-10 scoring defense, which has allowed just 15.6 points per game in 2024.
