One of the biggest plays in the 49ers' win on Thursday night was a failed call That allowed the Seahawks to avoid a turnover, but it ended up being a minor matter as the Seahawks gave the ball away three more times during a 36-24 loss.

Quarterback Geno Smith threw two interceptions and Laviska Shenault lost a fumble on a kickoff return, bringing the 3-3 Seahawks to 10 turnovers on the season. They've turned the ball over six times during their current three-game losing streak – including a field goal blocked in their loss to the Giants – and they've forced just one turnover in five games since their season-opening win against the Broncos.

“It's probably going it alone, Biggest thing “This has hurt our football team,” Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said via the team’s website. “We need to take better care of the ball.” Practice it better. You get the point, and apparently we don't emphasize it enough. Shoot, this is my responsibility.

The Seahawks put it all together in the second half on Thursday, but the three turnovers led to 13 49ers points, and giving that much away is hard for any team to overcome. Macdonald said the Seahawks need to be “more precise” and if they fail to come through on that front, the team will be in a bad position for the rest of the year.
