The MLB Wild Card Series is underway this week. There are currently two best-of-three series in the American League: Detroit Tigers vs. Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals vs. Baltimore Orioles. The Tigers and Royals are currently both ahead by one after Tuesday's games. The two teams that win their best-of-three series then travel to the ALDS, which begins October 5th. The Kansas City Royals, Houston Astros and Baltimore Orioles (AL) as well as the New York Mets, Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres (NL) have secured spots in the Wild Card Series.
