NFL Inactive Week 9: Drake Maye, Lamar Jackson will play, TJ Hockenson makes season debut

The New England Patriots announced Saturday that quarterback Drake Maye has passed concussion protocol and will play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Maye suffered a head injury in the second quarter against the New York Jets last week. Linebacker Jamien Sherwood chased Maye in a scramble and made helmet-to-helmet contact on a hit from behind when Maye slipped.

After the hit, Maye went to the medical tent and then to the Patriots locker room. Jacoby Brissett took over at quarterback on New England's next possession.

Maye was spotted at practice this week, but since he was still in the protocol, he took part in a limited capacity.
