North Little Rock, Little Rock organizations hosting National Night Out

Neighborhoods and organizations in Little Rock and North Little Rock have committed to participating in this year's National Night Out, held the first Tuesday in October in Arkansas.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood participation.

The City of Little Rock has four venues hosting events beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. Citizens can enjoy food, fun, prizes and community engagement. The City of Little Rock encourages residents to bring family and friends to network and learn more about city initiatives.

  • MacArthur Park – 1000 McMath Drive
  • War Memorial Park – (near Fair Park/Zoo Drive roundabout)
  • Southwest Community Center – 6401 Baseline Road
  • West Central Community Center – 8616 Colonel Glenn Road

North Little Rock is also joining in on the fun, hosting events in four different counties. Many locations offer food and activities such as live music, games and community engagement.

Station 1

  • Military Heights Outreach Association – 4:30-8 p.m. at Military Heights Neighborhood Park, between 23rd and 24th streets.
  • Friends of Chandler Street – 5:30-10:00 p.m. at 15th & Chandler.
  • Historic Park Hill Neighborhood Association – 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Ldlewild Park, Ldlewild and Cedar Streets.

Station 2

  • Baring Cross Neighborhood Association – 4:30-6:30 p.m. at 13th and Crutcher Streets.
  • Argenta Boosters/Melrose Community Outreach – 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Baker House, 501 Main Street.
  • Rose City Neighborhood Association and NLR Police Athletic League – 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rose City Ball Park, 400 Rose Lane.
  • Stone Links Neighborhood Association – 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Stone Links Club House, 110 AR-391.
  • Dixie Addition CDC – 6:00-8:00 p.m. at 914 “H” Street.

Station 3

  • Scenic Hill Neighborhood Association – 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at E. Scenic & Valley View.
  • Amboy Neighborhood Association – 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Amboy United Methodist Church, 311 E. Military Dr.
  • Neighbors United For Levy – 6:00-7:30 p.m. at North Heights Recreation Center, 4801 Allen St.

Ward 4

  • Windsor Valley Neighborhood – 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in Coleridge from Covington to the speed limit on Coleridge.
