Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni should have enjoyed his team's 20-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

While he probably enjoyed the win, that didn't stop him from joining in with the crowd in the final minute of the game.

Immediate analysis: Eagles and Jalen Hurts trade boos for cheers despite three major injuries against the Browns

FOX cameras showed Sirianni waving to the crowd, yelling at them, then throwing up his hands and walking away.

When asked about the post-game interaction, Sirianni, who brought his children to the post-game press conference, replied: “I'm just looking forward to the win.” He then winked at the media members.

Sirianni gave credit to the fans for getting loud, especially in the fourth quarter when the Browns were hoping for a potential game-winning touchdown with about four minutes left. But on 4th-and-8, with the Eagles up a touchdown, Browns offensive lineman Jedrick Wills suffered a false start.

That got the ball back to the 13 and the Browns kicked the field goal with 3:54 left. The Eagles then ran out of time.

But Sirianni also took aim at the fans for loudly booing the Eagles at points during the game.

“We thrive on the crowd cheering us on,” Sirianni said. “We hear them when they boo. We don't necessarily like that. I don't think this is productive for anyone. When they cheer us on and we get them rolling, we love it.”

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts did not see the incident but said, “We encourage him to be himself. That’s him.”

Other players said they encouraged Sirianni this week to be himself and show the emotions he has had in the past.

“We know how Nick feels,” wide receiver DeVonta Smith said. “We appreciate the energy he brings.”

And many of the players didn't even blame the fans for the booing. They booed early as the Eagles failed to score in the first quarter for the fifth straight game. And again just before halftime, when Jake Elliott's 57-yard field goal attempt was blocked and then came back for a touchdown that tied the game at 10-10.

Right tackle Lane Johnson heard the boos but said he didn't see Sirianni interacting with fans toward the end of the game.

“I wasn’t paying attention (to Sirianni’s interaction),” Johnson said. “I saw the fans barking at us. As they should. We made the games much more competitive than they needed to be.”

Smith added: “If you don’t do your job, this is what’s going to happen.”

The interaction didn't go over well on social media, especially since the Eagles were 3-2 on the season after narrowly defeating the Browns, 1-5.
