Portland Trail Blazers at New Orleans Pelicans: Game Preview, Prediction, Time, TV Channel

Update: Zion Williamson is out for New Orleans. Robert Williams III is available for the Blazers.

The Portland Trail Blazers have a promising chance to get their third win of the season on Monday night at the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans are injured and will be without CJ McCollum, Herb Jones, Trey Murphy III and Dejounte Murray.

Also the status of the redirect Zion Williamson was unknown. He missed Sunday's 126-111 loss to the Atlanta Hawks because of a right hamstring strain.

Should Williamson play, he and forward Brandon Ingram could be difficult to beat.

However, both were in the lineup when Portland defeated the Pelicans 125-103 at home on October 27th after losing to them 105-103 on October 25th.

If Williamson doesn't play, the Blazers would have no excuse not to take advantage.

Forecast: The Blazers face Oklahoma City (6-0) and Phoenix (5-1) this weekend, taking on a team they've beaten once before and one that's been plagued by injuries. The Blazers should win this one even if Williamson plays.

Blazers backup center Robert Williams III is listed as available. He has been out of action since suffering a hamstring strain during training camp.

Pelicans: Zion Williamson (paralyze), Jordan Hawkins (Tension in the lower back area) is questionable. CJ McCollum (right adductor strain), Herb Jones (right shoulder strain), Trey Murphy III (strain on the right thigh muscles) and Dejounte Murray (fracture of the left hand) are excluded.
