Predicted line-up of Barcelona against Osasuna: La Liga

2 minutes, 24 seconds Read

As Barcelona prepare for their fifth game in three weeks, Hansi Flick must decide which players he wants to change to his starting XI.

Three days after the 1-0 win against Getafe, Barcelona will face Osasuna away on Saturday September 28th. So far, the Catalans remain perfect under Flick and have collected all 21 available points in their early 2024/25 La Liga season. Despite injuries to several key players, including Dani Olmo, Gavi and Marc-André ter Stegen, Barcelona already have a four-point lead over rivals Real Madrid.

However, with Barcelona's next Champions League game coming up on Tuesday, Flick will have to manage his depleted squad. Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Koundé have started every game of the season and could get a much-needed break against Osasuna.

This is what Barcelona's lineup against Osasuna could look like.

TW: Iñaki Pena–The goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in his first competitive start since February following Marc-André ter Stegen's injury.

RB: Jules Koundé–Koundé will be in the starting line-up for the ninth time in a row under Flick as one of the coach's most reliable players.

CB: Pau Cubarsí–The 17-year-old needs to keep Raúl García and Ante Budimir off the scoresheet to help his new goalkeeper.

CB: Sergi Dominguez–Iñigo Martínez suffered a setback against Getafe and is expected to be back in the starting lineup just three days later. Domínguez is the natural replacement for the experienced defender, especially after his performance against Villarreal.

LB: Alejandro Balde–The left-back won the most duels (9) against Getafe and played a major role in fending off the visitors' attack on Wednesday evening.

DM: Eric Garcia–After playing all 90 minutes on Wednesday, Marc Casadó is scheduled for a rest while García plays alongside Pedri in the double pivot.

DM: Pedri–Pedri is expected to return to Flick's starting XI after being on the bench against Getafe.

RW: Lamine Yamal–Yamal came off hobbling after the final whistle against Getafe, but the 17-year-old is ready to play on Saturday should Flick give him the nod.

AM: Pablo Torre–The 21-year-old has impressed in his last two starts as Barcelona's number 10 in place of the injured Dani Olmo. Torre has already scored a goal and an assist in three La Liga games for Barcelona.

LW: Raphinha–The Brazilian scored five goals and two assists in La Liga under Flick and is Barcelona's captain in Ter Stegen's absence. However, Raphinha is one of the players Flick could rotate. In that case, Ferran Torres would likely start in his place.

ST: Robert Lewandowski–The striker has just broken Jan Urban's La Liga goalscoring record and will be looking to score his eighth goal in as many La Liga games in Saturday's game.
