Release times for the Silent Hill 2 remake for PC and PS5

The Silent Hill 2 remake release times are coming to market quickly as Bloober Team and Konami finally prepare to release the highly anticipated horror game remake, more than two years after it was first announced. Release times for the Silent Hill 2 remake vary depending on what platform you play on and where in the world you play. For example, Steam users in the UK will have to wait five hours longer to dive in, while Steam users in New York will be able to play on PS5 at the same time as it launches.

There's no discernible pattern or reason, so we've broken down the Silent Hill 2 remake release times below to make it a little easier to figure out when you can play.

The official release of the Silent Hill 2 remake on Steam is October 8, 2024, 12pm Eastern Time. It looks different everywhere.

The start times of the PS5 are much more straightforward. It is currently midnight local time in whatever time zone you are in, but the United States is an exception. It is 12 p.m. Eastern time but 9 p.m. Pacific coast (October 7, 2024).

Players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition of Silent Hill 2 will be able to play the game two days early, on October 6, 2024. Release times are as above on all platforms, but two days or 48 hours earlier.

This means that the Steam version of the game will be released worldwide at the same time, October 6th, 2024 at 12pm ET or October 5th at 9pm PT, while other regions will receive the game at the same time rather than midnight at local time. However, the PS5 version of the game will be released on October 6th at midnight local time.

The Silent Hill 2 remake isn't coming to Xbox or Windows yet, so of course you won't be able to play it on either of those platforms on October 8, 2024.
