FOXBOROUGH – Here's a look at how the Patriots' rookies performed in Sunday's 41-21 loss to the Texans at Gillette Stadium.

QB Drake Maye – In his first NFL start, the third overall pick in the 2024 draft finished 20 of 33 for 243 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions. His first touchdown was one of the team's most impressive offensive plays of the season, a 40-yarder to Kayshon Boutte at the end of the first half.

WR Ja'Lynn Polk – It was a tough afternoon for Polk, who had one catch on four targets, with several chances that could be shyly classified as drops.

OL Caedan Wallace — Inactive. Placed on injured reserve earlier this month.

OL Layden Robinson — Inactive. Robinson played every snap of the first four games but has been in and out of the lineup in recent weeks. He was sidelined with ankle and wrist problems.

WR Javon Baker — Inactive. A healthy scratch.

DB Marcellas Dial Jr. — Active. No statistics registered.

QB Joe Milton III – He served as the emergency third quarterback for the sixth consecutive season this season.

TE Jaheim Bell — Active. No statistics registered.

LB Curtis Jacobs — Active. No statistics registered.

DB Dell Pettus — Active. No statistics registered; He seemed to spend most of his work on special teams.
