Seahawks offense shows resilience in 24-3 win over Miami Dolphins

On Sunday, the Seahawks beat the Dolphins 24-3, but the score only tells part of the story. Yes, the Seahawks won, but the victory came with some ups and downs throughout the game. For example, the offense scored 17 points in the first half and didn't score again until the fourth quarter.

But their perseverance and ability to score in the fourth quarter, on a 98-yard drive, showed the resilience the offense needs to get the job done.

“I think the drive at the end speaks to our offensive mentality,” head coach Mike Macdonald said. “It wasn't our best day, but I think we did a great job for the most part. We kept keeping the tempo and getting it back out, and yeah, I think (Geno Smith) played really well.”

Smith added, “If you look at this offense, anytime we get into a rut or something negative happens or I throw an interception, the next play is a touchdown for DK (Metcalf), right? So we have a resilient group. We knew at that point that we hadn't done anything in the second half after the first quarter. Our defense played outstanding. We have to give them something. We have to give them something. We've been pushed back, but we have to turn the field over. I thought we were committed to going out and scoring, getting another lead and allowing our defense to play with that much more grit.”
