Live: Can a Trump 2.0 Help Markets Sustain Their Rally? | Tata Steel, power grid in focus | Opening bell

Frontline indices Sensex and Nifty extended their bull run to the second straight day as broad-based buying took place across the bourses. The celebration followed Donald Trump's majority victory in the US presidential election as he is expected to become the 47th president. The India VIX also fell 7 percent while IT stocks were in the spotlight due to a stronger dollar. Experts now expect Nifty to reach the 25,000 level with support at 24,200. Global signals are mixed this morning. Dow Jones hit an all-time high overnight, boosted by Trump's White House comeback, while NASDAQ Composite and the S&P 500 closed 2 percent higher. However, Asian markets opened largely weaker this morning. Among stocks in focus, look out for Tata Steel, Power Grid and Apollo Hospitals.
