VANCOUVER Washington (KPTV) – Police are searching for a suspect or suspects after one person was shot and two others were injured at the Vancouver Mall Thursday evening, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Employees and shoppers took shelter at the mall, and police said no other injuries were reported at this time.

Police said there is no active threat, but the suspect or suspects are unknown at this time. Officers said they were searching mall security footage for suspects and officers were still in the process of clearing all rooms at the mall.

Police also said they do not yet know the motive for the shooting or whether the shooting was random or whether specific people were targeted.

Anyone with information and/or images and video of the incident is asked to call the VPD tip line at 360-487-7399.

Anyone who became separated from their group during the incident should go to the area in front of Hobby Lobby, which police said has been set up as a reunion area.

This is a developing story and updates will be added as they become available.
