We are Baaaaaaaack!

With the first night of Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour stop at Lucas Oil Stadium in the rearview mirror, we're ready for night two to begin. Tens of thousands have descended on Indianapolis for the final three US shows of the tour, and the city is brimming with Swiftie spirit.

IndyStar journalists are back on the road for the second day of the Eras Tour weekend, meeting fans, exchanging friendship bracelets and showing you all the sights and sounds of downtown Indianapolis.

Swifties start young

Jordan Mowrer and Sarah Toombs share a friendship that began at Marian University and a love of the Swift song “Clean.”

“The song 'Clean' helped me through a breakup,” Mowrer said. “We probably both used that to get through a breakup.”

“That’s kind of funny,” Toombs added with a laugh.

They pass on their love of Swift's work to their children, four-year-old Andy Mowrer and three-year-old Lainey Toombs. The four made friendship bracelets at the Children's Museum Saturday morning, and Mowrer and Toombs, both 32 and from Indianapolis, were hoping they could snag last-minute tickets to the Eras Tour.

Lainey has her own Swift book and Andy knows all the lyrics to his favorite song by the singer: “Welcome to New York.”

“He’ll sing it,” Mowrer said as Andy recited the title lyrics.

Fans were looking forward to “breathing the same air” as the star

Cousins Rhylynn Little and Violet Shamblin, both 11, didn't have tickets to the Eras Tour concerts but still enjoyed being part of the festivities.

On Saturday morning, the two made friendship bracelets at the Children's Museum and attended one of the planned dance parties before heading downtown to the Indiana Convention Center. They wore matching heart-shaped sunglasses and T-shirts, a nod to Swift's “Reputation” and “Fearless” albums.

Even without tickets, the trip from Columbus, Ohio was worth it, they said.

“I breathe the same air as (Swift),” Rhylynn said.

“I think the reason we did it was just so that even though we can't actually go to the concert, they could at least experience firsthand what it's like to be a part of the Eras tour stuff,” said mom Amanda Little, 40.

Weather in Indianapolis today

According to the National Weather Service's forecast for Saturday, Swift fans in Indianapolis can expect another sunny day with high temperatures in the 60s. The overnight low will be in the mid 40s.

Will the Lucas Oil Stadium roof be open for Taylor Swift?

Despite the sunny and relatively warm conditions, the roof will be closed for all three shows, Lucas Oil Stadium officials said.

Bag Guidelines for Lucas Oil Stadium

In general, fans should expect to be able to enter with clear bags no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Logos smaller than 3.4″ x 4.5″ are fine, as long as they are on one side of the bag. Non-clear bags must be no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches, without a strap or handle. Fans can also bring a gallon size clear plastic bag.

Backpacks, briefcases, luggage and opaque and transparent bags larger than the previously stated dimensions are not permitted.

Eras Tour ride and pickup locations, downtown Indianapolis road closures

There will be numerous road closures this weekend to regulate traffic around Lucas Oil Stadium. So if you're trying to get in or out of the city center, be careful. Many country roads and some motorway exits will be closed, usually after 11 p.m

A standalone rideshare pickup zone on South Street between Missouri and West Streets will operate from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Friday through Sunday.

Only Uber, Lyft and other rideshare drivers will be allowed access to this area. Rideshare drivers must travel down South West Street to pick up riders and can then either continue south, under I-70, or head west on Kentucky Avenue to exit the zone.
