Houston, TX – Temperatures will continue to rise steadily throughout the weekend in Southeast Texas. Highs of nearly 90 degrees are expected along I-10 by Saturday. Friday's forecast calls for clear skies and highs of around 90 degrees. Lows at night will drop to a mild 66 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service, the heat will continue through Sunday, reaching highs around 91 degrees F. Although humidity will remain low, residents are advised to remain cautious. Heat exhaustion is still a risk, especially during outdoor activities. Be sure to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and take breaks in shaded areas when spending long periods of time outdoors.

Travelers on I-10 should be aware of high temperatures, especially in the afternoon when temperatures on road surfaces and inside vehicles can rise sharply. The National Weather Service recommends carrying extra water and checking your vehicle's coolant level before you set off.

The warming trend is expected to continue into early next week, so residents should prepare for continued heat. Evenings will be more pleasant, with overnight lows remaining at 15 degrees. Stay tuned for updates on possible rain chances starting Wednesday.
