Terrace at Wrong Iron bends during sold-out Saints game

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Wrong Iron, a popular sports bar in downtown New Orleans, was forced to close about halfway through the Saints-Eagles game on Sunday when part of the outdoor patio gave way.

Staff report that a brief rainstorm forced the packed Saints fans to seek shelter inside and on the covered patio. The weight and jumping of the excited fans caused part of the patio to give way.

A large police, fire and rescue presence was on site.

There is no official information yet as to whether there are any injuries or not. A fire department spokesman is on the way to provide further information.
