Texas Tech kicker flashes MAGA jersey after scoring touchdown on trick play

Texas Tech kicker Reese Burkhardt had a career shooting performance on Saturday when he scored a touchdown on a fake field goal and then cheered on former President Trump.

After Burkhardt made a surprise throw in the second quarter and raced past TCU defenders to get into the end zone, he pulled up his jersey to reveal a T-shirt that read “Trump 24 MAGA.”

Texas Tech ended up losing heartbreakingly 35-34 to TCU, but Burkhardt was the talk of the town. Trump supporters praised the senior kicker, while liberals criticized him and the show on social media.

Burkhardt's stunt is just the latest in a series of Trump shutouts at major sporting events.

During Game 1 of the World Series between the Dodgers and Yankees on Friday night in Los Angeles, a woman sitting behind home plate appeared to be wearing a MAGA hat, sparking strong reactions online.

Meanwhile, some MAGA paraphernalia at sporting events faced resistance from security forces.

On September 28, the Arizona Cardinals apologized to a woman, Susan Rosene, who was told she had to have a “Make America Great Again“I had to enter State Farm Stadium for the team’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

In the spring and summer of 2021, a man was banned from MLB games at Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park and Citizens Bank Park for displaying banners in the stands that read “Trump Won! Save America!

The man, Dion Cini, Now a conservative political influencer on X, has posted bodycam footage of his police escorts from stadiums several times.

On June 27 of that year, Cini posted images on X, then known as Twitter, of what appeared to be a letter from MLB informing him that he would be banned from MLB games until further notice.

Cini commented on the Rosener incident in a previous interview with Fox News Digital.

“That's just the country we've become and the fact that she did it and put it in a can is the reason they asked her to do it because they know she would probably comply. And that basically sums it all up.” “Right now it's a whole state of America,” Cini said. “You would have to kill me so I could take off my MAGA hat without violence! I’ve never taken off my MAGA hat for anyone.”

Other Banners were has been seen at Yankee Stadium in the past supporting the former president.

Fans have also supported Trump at NFL and college football games, as well as UFC events.
