The Boston Celtics have ruled out Jaylen Brown for their game against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, November 2nd. The All-Star forward is dealing with a left hip flexor strain. Sam Hauser is considered likely, while Kristaps Porzingis remains sidelined after undergoing surgery this summer.

Brown was an integral part of the Celtics' rotation in their win over Charlotte on Friday, November 1st. He finished the night with 25 points, six rebounds and five assists while shooting 42.1% from the field. This season, he has demonstrated his improved ability to get to the free throw line by averaging 7.8 attempts per game and shooting 80.9% from the charity stripe. If he keeps this up all season, he will set career highs in attempts and free throw percentage.

Without Brown in the rotation, Payton Pritchard could be pushed into the starting lineup. Or Joe Mazzulla could try to field a double-big lineup with Al Horford (who is back after missing Friday's game) and Luke Kornet as the frontcourt anchor.

Whatever the coaching staff decides, Boston will undoubtedly prepare for a tough game as they look to make it two straight wins against the Hornets in the Celtics' first doubleheader of the season.
