Brad Marchand scored a goal and an assist as the Boston Bruins gained some revenge over the Philadelphia Flyers with a 3-0 road win on Saturday.

Joonas Korpisalo made 20 saves for his fifth career shutout – and his first since April 10, 2023, when he defeated the Vancouver Canucks as a member of the Los Angeles Kings.

Matthew Poitras and Justin Brazeau also scored for Boston, which had lost five of its last six games, including a 2-0 home loss to Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Samuel Ersson started in goal for the Flyers before exiting with an undisclosed injury early in the first period. Philadelphia had won three of its last four games, including Tuesday's win at Boston – its first road win over the Bruins in more than 13 years.

In that game, the Bruins took a 1-0 lead at 13:28 of the first period. Hampus Lindholm sent a shot from the blue line that bounced off the end boards and flew back near the goal area. Poitras fired the puck past Aleksei Kolosov for his first goal of the season.

Brazeau's third goal of the season – all in the last five games – made it 2-0 midway through the second period. Marchand carried the puck behind the net while fending off a defender, and then he centered the puck to Brazeau, who fired it once past Kolosov.

Korpisalo's saves included a stop on Morgan Frost in a 2-on-1 duel when Owen Tippett got behind the defense and set up his teammate for a direct try.

Marchand added an empty-net goal with 3:39 left to seal the win.

Kolosov finished the game with 20 saves in relief of Ersson, who made eight stops before being eliminated. Philadelphia failed on three power play opportunities and had 15 giveaways on the afternoon. The Flyers beat the Bruins 30-22.

The final game of the season will be when the Bruins host the Flyers on December 7th.
