The Horned Frogs can't contain the loss to the Bears

The last time TCU played at McLane Stadium, it won on a last-second field goal.

This time, Baylor converted a field goal as time expired and beat TCU 37-34 on Saturday. After the win, Baylor's student section stormed the field.

Here are five takeaways from the game.

Bryson Washington dominates on the run

Baylor running back Bryson Washington dominated against a TCU defense that has struggled against the run all season.

Washington had a career game, leading all rushers with 196 yards on 26 attempts. He had four rushing touchdowns, two of 35 yards or more.

So far this season, Washington has only had two other games with more than 100 rushing yards. He entered Saturday's game with 380 total rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Baylor penalties gave TCU scoring opportunities

The Bears had eight penalties that accounted for 75 yards.

In the third quarter, Baylor defensive lineman Jackie Marshall received a roughing the passer penalty after sacking Josh Hoover on 2nd-and-11, preventing what would have been a third-and-long situation.

Marshall caught another rough pass call against Hoover that gave TCU 15 yards and an automatic first down. TCU scored its final points of the game after this decision and finished the game with 34 points.

TCU’s running game is struggling

The defense had seen improvements in limiting the run, but returned to first place against Baylor. The Bears' rushing unit averaged 5.8 yards per carry.

Baylor had 499 yards of total offense, 257 of which came on the ground.

Savion Williams' dual position offers added value

TCU's Savion Williams recorded stats at three positions: receiving, rushing and passing.

He found wide receiver Jack Bech in the end zone for a 6-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

Williams led TCU with 57 rushing yards and 7.1 yards per carry. He also had eight catches for 92 yards.

The dominance of the TCU receiving corps continues

Although they didn't manage to win, Horned Frog's receivers still performed well.

Williams can play anywhere and Bech continues to be a key target for Hoover. He led the team with five catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
