The Packers add LT Rasheed Walker to the Week 6 injury report

1 minute, 31 seconds Read

One injury the Green Bay Packers should keep an eye on ahead of Sunday's showdown against the Arizona Cardinals: Left tackle Rasheed Walker was added to the team's injury report with a new knee injury. He is listed as questionable because he was limited in practice on Friday.

Walker has started all five games for the Packers at left tackle. Veteran Andre Dillard is listed as the backup on the team's unofficial depth chart. Only Walker has played snaps at left tackle for the Packers this season.

Injuries towards the end of the week can be difficult to deal with for both the player and the team. The game plan is already installed and ready to go, and Walker has less than 48 hours to physically recover and prepare for a game.

In five games, Walker has allowed one sack and ten total pressures in 177 pass-blocking snaps played. He has committed five penalties but has gone clear for the last two weeks.

Another option at left tackle if Walker is unavailable is first-round pick Jordan Morgan, but he is also questionable and has missed two straight games with a recurring shoulder injury. It would be difficult to ask him to play left tackle after rotating primarily at right guard. Left guard Elgton Jenkins and right tackle Zach Tom both have experience at left tackle.

In encouraging injury news, the Packers have removed tight end Tucker Kraft from the injury report. He will play on Sunday. Kraft was added to the injured list on Thursday with a new groin injury.

The Packers listed five players as questionable, including Walker, and ruled out defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, who has an ankle injury.

It's possible that Walker will be a game-changing decision. The Packers and Cardinals have inactive games due at 10:30 a.m. CT. on Sunday.
