Vice President Kamala Harris made a surprise trip there Saturday Night Live Just three days before the presidential election, she appeared in the mirror of Maya Rudolph, who once again assumed her role as vice president and this time gave herself a pep talk.

Saturday marked the fifth consecutive week that Rudolph impersonated Harris during the show's cold starts. On this occasion, she and her husband Doug Emhoff (Andy Samberg) first tuned in to a Trump rally, where the Republican candidate (James Austin Johnson) was exhausted and simply said whatever came to mind.

“Where the hell am I? This place stinks!” he continued talking. “I don’t want to be here with you. Light up. I'm out of gas. I'm running on fumes here, folks. You can see it, right? The cracks are visible. I'm exhausted. I'm babbling. I do crazy things with the microphone.”

Rudolph tuned out this scene and then took his place one by one with his Vice President Tim Walz (Jim Gaffigan), President Joe Biden (Dana Carvey) and the second gentleman. Then she sat down alone.

“I just wish I could talk to someone who was in my shoes, you know? “A black, South Asian woman running for president, preferably from the Bay Area,” she said, turning to the mirror — and to Harris herself.

Loud cheers and applause made Harris' sentence difficult to understand: “You and me both, sister!”

“I’m just here to remind you: you got this. Because you can do something your opponent can't do. “You can open doors,” Harris said, lambasting Trump have a hard time On Wednesday I opened the door of a garbage truck for a photo op.

After shaking hands, the two took turns reciting part of their promise to “end the dramala” and then stood to face the audience.

“Let me tell you something,” Rudolph said. “I’ll vote for us.”

When Harris asked if she happened to be registered in Pennsylvania, Rudolph said, “Unfortunately not.”

“Well,” Harris replied, “it was worth a try.”

Harris covered a lot on Saturday. She began in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she criticized Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson for saying his party would “probably” disclose the CHIPS and Science Act if given the chance after the election. Harris has similarly criticized his recent admission that the Affordable Care Act is also on the rocks.

Rallies followed in Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina. Harris was flying to Michigan ahead of a scheduled campaign day on Sunday when Air Force Two changed course toward New York.
