The Rebels destroy the Hogs at halftime

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas football is in the midst of its worst performance of the season as the Razorbacks (5-3, 3-2 SEC) trail No. 18 Ole Miss 35-10 at halftime.

The Rebels scored four touchdowns in the second quarter and picked apart Arkansas' secondary. Jaxson Dart has 294 yards passing and four touchdowns, three of which went to Jordan Watkins. Ole Miss is doing all of this without the SEC's leading receiver, Tre Harris, who is dressed sharp but hasn't played a snap yet.

Arkansas is also playing with an injured quarterback as Taylen Green suffered a leg injury late in the first quarter. He has returned to the game but appears to be limited in runs. Green is under constant pressure as Ole Miss already has five sacks.

The Hogs' only touchdown came on a 6-yard run by Rashod Dubinion midway through the second quarter. Ole Miss wins the overall offensive battle 360-202.

Fourth quarter

The Rebels find the end zone with their backup quarterback and Arkansas has now allowed 63 points, which is the most points given up under Sam Pittman.

Third quarter

Malachi Singleton orchestrates another touchdown series that ends with Hill's short run. The Hogs now trail 56-24 with 2:22 remaining in the third quarter

Arkansas might want to start covering Watkins, who was left wide open for his fifth touchdown of the game. OIe Miss has 595 yards and it's still the third quarter. The Rebels lead Arkansas 56-17.

The Rebels' defensive tackle scores with a short touchdown run, extending the Rebels' lead to 49-17 with 6:59 remaining in the third quarter.

Singleton replaced Green at quarterback and created a touchdown drive to start the second half. Singleton completed both passes for 54 yards in the series.

Watkins is wide open in the middle of the end zone for his fourth receiving touchdown of the game. Arkansas has already given up a season-high 366 passing yards with 27 minutes remaining.

Second quarter

The Rebels marched effortlessly down the field and scored another seven points before halftime. Ole Miss leads 35-10 as the teams head to the locker rooms, and the Rebels will get the ball to start the second half.

Matthew Shipley fails to convert on a 45-yard attempt, and the Hogs' deficit is still 28-10 with 1:10 left in the first half. Now the Rebels can extend their lead before halftime.

Arkansas travels 75 yards in nine plays to reach the end zone for the first time today and cut the deficit to 28-10. Taylen Green looked good in this series, although not as explosive with his legs. Arkansas needs its defense to stop here.

Today, after another long touchdown connection between Dart and Wakins, we're on pace for Arkansas' worst defensive performance of the season. The Hogs have had a negative 7 yards receiving in the last nine games since Taylen Green's injury. The score is 28-3 Rebels with 10:07 remaining in the first half.

Dart is busy picking apart the Razorbacks' secondary, this time finding Watkins on the right sideline with a beautifully thrown ball that beats Marquise Robinson. It was the first play of the drive and Ole Miss led 21-3 early in the second quarter.

The Rebels marched 75 yards in 11 plays and scored another touchdown to extend their lead to 14-3. Arkansas' secondary currently has no answer for the pass catchers at Dart and Ole Miss.

First quarter

Matthew Shipley converts a 55-yard field goal to cut Ole Miss' lead to 7-3, but the bigger news is an injury to quarterback Taylen Green early in the drive.

A sack by TJ Dottery released the ball, and Umanmielen eventually fell on it for Ole Miss' touchdown. E'Marion Harris was hit badly by a blitz on the right side of the line and the Rebels led 7-0.

Just like last week, the Hogs prevent Ole Miss from capping a long drive with a fourth-down stuff just inches from the end zone. Hudson Clark and Anton Juncaj were responsible for the tackling. Lane Kiffin wanted a timeout for a review before the snap but didn't get it. It's still scoreless with 7:43 left in the first quarter.

A holding penalty and a sack on third down ended the Hogs' first drive of the game. A line drive punt by Devin Pale means Ole Miss will start at its own 23.
