Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris' dueling rallies in Michigan were packed Saturday.

There are less than 10 days until the Nov. 5 presidential election, and supporters of Trump, the Republican nominee, and Harris, the Democratic nominee, turned out in the battleground state of Michigan to cheer on the candidates.

Trump's afternoon rally in Novi, about a 40-minute drive northwest of Detriot, was held at the Suburban Collection Showplace. There was a large crowd behind, in front and on the sides of Trump's podium, according to Getty photos and videos shared on social media.

Steven Cheung, Trump's communications director, said Newsweek via email Saturday evening that the Novi rally was filled to “maximum capacity” with thousands outside.

Meanwhile, booths at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo were packed at Harris' rally with former first lady Michelle Obama on Saturday evening, according to a video on social media. The room next to her podium was also full of Harris supporters.

The size of crowds at rallies has become a topic of conversation during the election. Harris' campaign team has repeatedly mocked the size of Trump rallies while boasting about the high turnout at the vice president's events.

Meanwhile, Trump asserts that he will attract more visitors to his rallies. At one point, he said Harris used artificial intelligence (AI) in a photo to expand the crowd at a rally in Detroit.

Referring to a photo taken at that rally, Trump wrote on social media in August: “Did anyone notice Kamala cheating at the airport? There was no one on the plane and she 'AI'd it and showed a huge 'crowd' of so-called followers BUT THEY DIDN'T EXIST!”

The former president also said the large crowd at Harris' rally was “fake,” adding, “She should be disqualified because creating a fake image constitutes election interference.” Anyone who does this will cheat at EVERYTHING!”

A Harris campaign official said Newsweek At the time: “I can confirm that the photo was taken by Harris campaign staff and was not altered in any way by the AI.”
