Travis and Jason Kelce talk about roleplaying in the bedroom when a fan asks for sex advice

Travis Kelce has a few ideas on how fans can take their relationships to the next level.

During a bonus episode of him and Jason KelceOn the New Heights podcast, released on Wondery+ on Thursday, October 31, listeners called a dedicated hotline asking how to keep the momentum going during early dating — and how to spice things up in the bedroom.

One fan, a man in his 50s, confessed that he was “going through a phase” where his wife had “no interest in sex at all.” The caller insisted that he was “not someone who cheats” and “never has been,” but he wasn't sure how to cope with this difficult period.

“I want to personally mention that I have no idea what this is like,” Travis, 35, began.

Jason, 36, agreed that the question was “hard” to answer before Travis suggested upping the romance factor. “Maybe just try to get some candles, get some rose petals, try to be a little romantic,” the tight end said. “Maybe you just need to rekindle the flame or something, get this thing going. Take her to a nice restaurant. These are all things I would try and do just based on what I've heard. This is tough, man.”

For Jason, it's all about the long game. “Start early. Women are strange. They don’t always want to have sex,” he joked. “I don't know why, they don't operate on the same wavelength as us. … Women like to be desired.”

The retired athlete also noted that “service” or other thoughtful gestures could improve mood – but so could tight pants. “Sometimes they just want to see the goods,” he said teasingly, “I don’t know what you’ve been blessed with.”

It didn't take long for the conversation to get out of hand. Travis laughed at Jason's suggestion of watching a movie starring your partner's celebrity. (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was quickly used as an example – unclear if Jason was speaking from personal experience with his wife Kylie Kelce.)

“Try some role play one night, you know, and see if she's up for it,” Travis said. “Go to Spencer's and get some fucking sex things, man, I don't know.”

Another caller asked about the co-hosts' perspective on reaching milestones on a new date, wondering, “How do you know a relationship is solid… and why is that moment when you fart in front of each other for the first time.” ?”

The second half of the question initially confused both Jason and Travis, but Jason had the perfect answer. “I farted in front of Kylie on the third date we ever went on,” he said. (The couple has been married since 2018 and has three daughters together.)

Farts aside, Travis offered his opinion on when a relationship feels more serious. “I feel like when you know someone’s life,” he said. “When you see someone's everyday life and you can relate to that and you develop a routine of being with that person on a regular basis or talking to them about their daily routines, you naturally just feel the real connection.”

Jason theorized that an “ultimatum” was the easiest way to figure out when a relationship has turned a corner, which made Travis laugh. “I feel like…when you're really into someone like that, you naturally take the next step,” Travis continued. “Or you have a desire to get to the next step more quickly.”

The Kansas City Chiefs star has made some big strides in his relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs Taylor Swiftwho he was with last summer. The couple has supported each other through major achievements – from their 2024 Super Bowl win to their record-breaking win Epoch tour – and have connected with each other’s inner circles.

“Family is a good (sign),” Travis added Thursday. “When you get featured, it’s huge. This is definitely something like the next step.”
