Trump has reportedly given Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu a deadline to end the war

Former President Trump has reportedly asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the war between Israel and Hamas by the time he takes office if he is elected, according to the Times of Israel.

The Israeli broadcaster was informed of the exchange by an anonymous source familiar with the situation. Either Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris will be sworn in on January 20th, depending on how voters cast their ballots on November 5th.

The Times of Israel's source said Trump originally delivered the message to Netanyahu when the Israeli leader visited him at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, last July.

While Trump has expressed a desire to end the war, which has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, the fact that the request had a timeline was previously unknown.

Trump, who did not speak extensively about the war between Israel and Hamas during the campaign, has expressed support for Israel's attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.

“This is the thing you want to hit,” Trump said at a rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The Biden-Harris administration has largely supported Israel, although the White House has opposed recent military operations by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Earlier this month, President Biden called for a ceasefire shortly before Israel invaded Lebanon.

Battleground State officials say foreign enemies are using misinformation to “undermine” the democratic process.

During a CNN town hall last week, Harris dodged Anderson Cooper's question about whether she was more “pro-Israel” than her Republican opponent.

“I believe that Donald Trump is dangerous,” Harris said, without answering the question. “I think when you have a president of the United States who has told his generals who worked for him because he is commander in chief – those conversations, I assume, a lot of them took place in the Oval Office – when the president of …” The United States, the commander in chief, is essentially saying to its generals, “Why can’t you be more like Hitler’s generals?” Anderson, come on.
