UAlbany football reached the end zone twice in Saturday's Coastal Athletic Association game against Elon at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium. Both times Elon responded in less than 15 seconds.

Elon's Chandler Brayboy answered both of the Great Danes' touchdowns by returning the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown – a 94-yarder in the first quarter and a 93-yarder in the third quarter – and the Phoenix used a 24-point run to rally a 30-14 victory, ending UAlbany's two-game winning streak.

After UAlbany (1-2 CAA, 3-4 overall) scored first when Jojo Uga's 2-yard touchdown run capped a 12-play, 65-yard drive to start the game, Brayboy's first kickoff return provided the scoring a score quickly for the equalizer.

Elon (1-2, 2-5) added 17 more points – a touchdown pass from Matthew Downing to Cody Hardy and a TJ Thomas run around a Jack Berkowitz field goal – to open a 24 with 10:33 left -7 lead in the third quarter.

UAlbany finally responded with a 9-yard touchdown pass from Myles Burkett to Caden Burti, but Brayboy silenced the Albany crowd again by returning the kickoff for a touchdown.

Burkett completed 18 of 35 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked four times on a day when UAlbany's running game managed just 20 yards on 25 carries. Thomas led Elon with 138 rushing yards and 19 carries.

The Great Danes will be back on the road next Saturday for a 3 p.m. game against Delaware.
