MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota men's ice hockey team announced its 2024-25 television schedule and seasons on Friday, including an expanded partnership with FOX9. The Golden Gophers will broadcast 20 games throughout the season on FOX9 or FOX9+, presented by Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, in addition to six contests broadcast on the Big Ten Network and one on FS1. Select road trips, including Minnesota's games at Minnesota Duluth, St. Thomas and Bemidji State, will also air locally in the Twin Cities on FOX 9+.

“Gopher hockey has a rich and proud tradition here in the State of Hockey,” said Marian Davey, SVP/GM of FOX’s KMSP-WFTC. “It is an honor to broadcast 20 games for the passionate fans this season as the Maroon and Gold fight for another championship.”

New for the 104th edition of Pride on Ice will be a 30-minute pre-game show presented by M Health Fairview, home of the games, and broadcast on FOX9/FOX9+, featuring the Maroon and Gold through features, sit-down interviews etc. presents ice cream instructions. Jim Rich will host the show and serve as play-by-play announcer for all coverage on FOX9/FOX9+. Gophers' second all-time leading scorer, Pat Micheletti, will join the broadcast as an analyst. Immediately following the completion of all games, a post-game show will air on FOX9/FOX9+ recapping the game action presented by RBC Wealth Management.
