Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison posted a cryptic message on social media following the team's loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.

Addison is coming off a rookie season in which he had 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns. The first-round pick from USC seemed like a perfect fit for Minnesota's offense alongside All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson, but he hasn't exactly capitalized on his opportunities this year.

Jefferson had another sensational season, catching 41 passes for 646 yards and five touchdowns. He's been the focal point of the Minnesota offense alongside running back Aaron Jones, and so far it's worked as the Vikings are 5-2. However, they have lost their last two games against the Detroit Lions and now against the Rams.

As for Addison, it's unclear whether he's seeking a trade or just a larger role on offense. In any case, the Vikings' job would be to utilize their second-year wideout more. Using him more often could also open the field for Jefferson.

Jefferson talked about the need to open up the offense more before Thursday night's loss.

“I’m definitely tired of these 80- and 90-yard games,” Jefferson said before Thursday night’s loss, according to Dave Campbell of the Associated Press. “I definitely have to get over that 100-yard hump. That’s definitely my plan.”

Jefferson continued: “If you watch it on tape, the explosive plays are everywhere on the field, not just me. They're all over the field and we've got to have all 11 of us dialed in to make those plays” and to give (Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold) a little more time.

The Vikings' next game is next Sunday evening against the Indianapolis Colts. After Thursday night's game, the team will have plenty of time to prepare. This will also be the team's final game before the NFL trade deadline, which takes place two days later on Tuesday, November 5th.
