    Last Friday, what looked like a breakthrough for Oklahoma State football quickly ended in heartbreak with a 38-35 loss at BYU.

    This weekend, the Cowboys have an opportunity to overcome that disappointment as coach Mike Gundy's team hits the road once again, this time to face Baylor on Saturday at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas.

    After a 3-0 start to the season and climbing into the top 15 of the LBM Coaches' Poll, Oklahoma State is on a four-game losing streak and is still looking for its first win in the Big 12, a league in which it was also selected to finish third in the preseason.

    The loss to BYU offered some signs of encouragement, particularly from running back Ollie Gordon II, who ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 6.7 yards per carry after an uncharacteristically poor first half of the season. Whatever progress was made, however, it came with the pain of defeat, as the Cowboys gave up an eight-play, 75-yard drive in just 1:02, leading to the game-winning touchdown with 10 seconds left.

    Oklahoma State will try to get back to .500 against a Baylor team that posted one of the more surprising results of Week 8 by going on the road and picking up a 24-point win against a Texas Tech team that came into the Matchup came with a record of 5-1. The win improved the Bears' record to 3-4 in a must-win season for coach Dave Aranda.
