Kick Childhood Cancer Game presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota

Despite a rocky start in their last game, the Loons have bounced back in a big way. St. Louis CITY got a goal in the opening minutes against Dayne St. Clair, but the Boys in Black and Blue equalized just 19 minutes later – thanks to Bongokuhle Hlongwane. From there, Bongi and new Loon Kelvin Yeboah went on a tear, leading MNUFC to a convincing 3-1 win. Next up, the Loons head back to Midway to face FC Cincinnati. Recently, the Lions have had mixed results since returning to MLS: one win, one loss, and one draw. Most recently, their 0-0 draw in the Hell is Real Derby offered less drama than we expect from the game. Both teams will go into this midweek game with plenty of motivation for the postseason. The Loons are currently ranked 9th in the West, the last spot that would secure them a spot in the Wild Card game against the 8th place team. Cincinnati, meanwhile, sit comfortably in 2nd place in the East. However, if they want to win the Supporters' Shield two in a row, they'll need to take home as many points as possible from their remaining games.
