CLEMSON – Clemson opens ACC play this week at Memorial Stadium as NC State comes to town for a key conference game. Wide receiver Antonio Williams spoke to the media Tuesday about the offense and preparation for the upcoming game.

-The junior suffered an injury last season that allowed him to play in only five games. “It's just a blessing to be on that field every time,” he said. “I just take it game by game, day by day and just enjoy it.”

-Williams has started both games this season. He has 120 yards on nine catches so far. When asked about his performance so far this season, he said, “I've done pretty well. I'm just happy to be out there. I'm going to make the most of every opportunity I get, so I'm happy with how things are going right now.”

–The 21stThe No. 1-ranked Tigers will look to stay on the winning track after their dominant win over App State on Sept. 7. Williams was asked if he could carry the momentum from that game into Saturday's matchup against the Wolfpack. He said, “I think our confidence is really high right now. We have a lot of momentum, but we have to handle the success the same way we handled the adversity of the first game. We don't want to get too high and think that we can't be beaten or that just because we did it once, that's going to happen to us every game.”

-The 2022 season was the last time Clemson won the ACC championship. The junior knows what each conference game means and the mentality it takes to help the Tigers get back to the championship game. He said, “We know this game is very important if we want to come to Charlotte, dominate our conference and try to win another ACC championship.”
