WVU releases 2025 baseball schedule

West Virginia Baseball's 2025 schedule was officially released Thursday.

WVU is coming off a historic season in which they reached the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time in program history. They will be led by new head coach Steve Sabins following the resignation of Randy Mazey. Sabins was a member of Mazey's for nine seasons; he has been assistant head coach for the past three years.

Of the Mountaineers' 56 games, 25 are at home and they face 14 teams that reached the NCAA Tournament last year.

West Virginia opens its season on February 14th when it takes on Jacksonville in a four-game series. They stay on the road for a three-game series against Lipscomb the following weekend.

The Mountaineers' first home game is a singles game against Ohio on February 25th. Their first home series is March 7th and 9th against Kennesaw State.

WVU opens Big 12 play with a road series against Oklahoma State March 14-16.

Other highlights of the schedule include three games against Marshall: home games on March 25, away games on April 15 and at GoMart Ballpark in Charleston on April 30. There will also be two Backyard Brawl games: home games on April 2nd and away games on May 6th.

West Virginia ends its regular season with three home games against Kansas May 15-17.

The Big 12 Tournament will take place May 21-24.
