XDefiant: How to unlock the Highwayman faction and abilities

XDefiant Season 2 is live and has added a new faction to the roster. Inspired by Far Cry: New Dawn The highwaymen take a break from the wasteland to fight in the free arena shooter. If you want to take on the role of the highwaymen and take advantage of the skills, this guide will show you how to unlock the explosive killers.

Every faction included XDefiant is inspired by a Ubisoft franchise, so it was only a matter of time before it happened Far away appeared. The Highwaymen join GS Command, Cleaners, Dedsec, Echelon, Phantoms and Libertad.

Here are all the skills the highwaymen possess.

• Revved (Passive Trait) – Rate of fire and reload speed increase as you get kills
• M79 (activated ability) – Fire a HE grenade
• Scrap Tower (activated ability) – Set up a machine gun turret with a 360-degree field of fire
• Saw Launcher (Ultra) – Launch circular saw blades that bounce off surfaces and tear through enemies

As you can see, the characters associated with the Highwaymen faction are powerful. However, before you can use them, you need to unlock the faction.

There are two ways you can free the muggers from behind their bonds. First, you can activate a Grand Challenge that will ask you to earn 700,000 XP. Once you have reached the required amount of XP, the Highwaymen faction will be available to you.

Collecting a total of 700,000 XP may sound like a daunting task. However, as long as you get a decent number of kills and complete the objective, you should collect a solid amount of XP after each game.

Alternatively, you can unlock the faction immediately with 1,000 XCoins. Simply click on the highwaymen in the “Factions” tab and select “Unlock Now” to spend your XCoins. Then you can use the new faction as soon as you get into a game. If you want to really splurge, you can purchase all three Highwaymen characters through the Gold Season 2 Pack in the store.

The Highwaymen are the newest faction XDefiant, Expect to encounter plenty of opponents on the opposing team as players try them out. Only time will tell where the Highwaymen will fare in the Season 2 meta.
