Buying air miles just got a lot more worthwhile with a limited-time offer from Hawaiian Airlines, especially since the airline combines its frequent flyer program with Alaska Airlines.

This sale, which ends Friday, November 15 at 11:59 p.m. HT, allows travelers to purchase HawaiianMiles with a 100 percent bonus when they purchase at least 3,000 miles. To take advantage of this promotion, travelers must log in to their Hawaiian Airlines loyalty account, which can be created free of charge.

Travelers can purchase up to 100,000 miles per transaction and receive an additional 100,000 bonus miles at checkout. There is no annual limit, so they can return to the sales page and purchase more miles if necessary.

The recent approval of the merger between the airline and Alaska Airlines allows members to freely transfer their miles at a 1:1 ratio and take full advantage of Alaska's prestigious Mileage Plan, known for its extensive mile redemption options to use.

With this promotion, the price per mile drops from 2.54 cents to 1.27 cents – a significant savings compared to Alaska's usual rate of around 1.7 cents per mile at best. Therefore, purchasing Hawaii miles during the limited-time promotion is a valuable option as they are interchangeable with Alaska Airlines miles.

“You earned it, you keep it,” the airline said on its website. “With HawaiianMiles that never expire, our guests can explore even more by redeeming them for free flights and benefits.”

The Mileage Plan program offers exceptional value, whether you're seeking business class redemption with Alaska's partners or looking for savings on a domestic flight with American Airlines.

This points sale comes as Alaska Airlines announced a major overhaul of its loyalty program in 2025 to make it easier to qualify for elite status. In the coming months, travelers will benefit from improvements that allow them to earn and redeem miles on multiple partner airlines within a single itinerary.
